Send Automatic Appointment Confirmation Texts

To help you reduce no-shows at your clinic, the Appt. AutoConfirm feature allows you to configure automated SMS (text) messages to clients reminding them of their upcoming appointments.

When you toggle on Enable AutoConfirm, clients will receive a text message 24 hours before their appointment to either confirm (reply “Y”) or cancel (reply “N”).

When a client responds to the automated confirmation with “Y,” the system updates their appointment status to Confirmed.

For Exam Appointment Types Only

Automatic confirmation texts are sent only for Exam appointment types. Exam appointment types are configured in More > Admin > Appointment Types when Is Exam is set to Yes.

Notes about Automated Confirmation Texts

• If the client does not respond to the confirmation text within 23 hours, a second message is sent to the client prompting them to contact your practice to confirm or cancel their appointment.

• If the client replies to the text with an unrecognized response (other than “Y” or “N”), a second message is sent prompting them to contact your practice to confirm or cancel their appointment.

• Automated confirmation text messages cannot be customized.
