Assign Encounter to a Provider and Technician
All encounters must be assigned to a provider (DVM). By default, the encounter is assigned to the provider listed on the appointment in Schedule, Flow, or Patient Chart.
For record keeping purposes, we recommend assigning a technician to the encounter in addition to the provider.
To edit the assigned provider and technician in an encounter:
Select the General tab (farthest to the left) of the encounter footer.
Edit the assigned provider in the Veterinarian field as needed.
Select the appropriate staff member in the Technician field.
Some practices use the Technician field to record the customer service representative assisting the client.
Add staff members in the Additional providers, Scribe, and Checked In fields as needed.
