Merge Clients
Client A IS THE CLIENT TO MERGE, and Client B IS THE CORRECT CLIENT RECORD.
Use the Merge Client into Another button when multiple accounts exist for the same client. EXAMPLE: THE WIFE BROUGHT SPOT TO THE DOCTOR LAST YEAR, THEN THE HUSBAND BRINGS SPOT THIS YEAR BUT DOESN'T DISCLOSE THAT SPOT HAS BEEN SEEN BEFORE. A NEW ACCOUNT WAS MADE UNDER THE HUSBAND'S NAME AND NOW MUST BE MERGED WITH THE WIFE'S ACCOUNT.
Determine which account is Client A and which version is Client B and how many reports to merge. It can be helpful to write down the A vs. B Client IDs.
Client B could have complete and correct patient and client information, upcoming appointments, and most encounters, or be the oldest account. There can only be one Client B account.
Client A accounts could have incomplete or inaccurate patient and client information, no encounters, or be the most recently created account.
Navigate to the Client B client account and copy the Client ID by highlighting the Client ID in the URL, then copy (CTRL+C).
Navigate into the Client A account by searching and selecting the client's name.
At the bottom of the Client info section, click the blue Merge Client into Another button.
Paste (CTRL + V) the Client B Client ID in the search bar in the Merge Client pop-up.
Select the correct name and then click Merge Client.
MERGE CLIENT IS PERMANENT AND CAN NOT BE UNDONE EVEN BY VETSPIRE DEVELOPMENT.
At the confirmation pop-up, click OK to proceed and be directed to the merged account.
Notice that some information, such as phone numbers, may be duplicated in the account after merging. Edit accordingly.
