Immunizations in Patient Chart

The Immunizations tab in Patient Chart displays a patient’s most recent, historical, and discontinued immunizations. Details of each immunization display in the grid, including Site, Manufacturer, Lot Number, Date (of administration), Due Date, and any notes from practice staff.

Available Actions for Immunizations

• Add historical immunization record: Select New Immunization at the top of the grid to enter a historical or discontinued immunization without opening a new encounter. See Enter Historical Vaccine in Patient Chart for more details.

• Delete an immunization: Select the trash can icon in the row for the immunization record you want to delete to remove it from the Immunizations tab. This does not delete an immunization from an open encounter.

• Download Rabies Certificates: Download the patient’s current rabies vaccine information or email the information to the client. See Download a Patient's Rabies Vaccine Certificate for more details.

The Vetspire system defines latest immunizations and current immunizations as having a future due date, meaning the patient is up-to-date on the vaccine.

Download Immunizations Record

Select the Download Immunizations Record button below the grid to download or email a PDF report of the patient’s immunizations.

This button opens the Export Immunizations window. In this window, you can select which immunizations you want included in the report. By default, the patient’s most current immunizations (immunizations with a future due date) are selected.

Specify the recipients of the report in the Email Address field, then select Email Immunizations. Alternatively, select Download Immunizations to save a PDF copy of the report.
