Discontinue an Immunization
You may choose to mark an immunization in Patient Chart as Discontinued when the patient is no longer receiving the vaccine or when they receive the same vaccine with a different inventory SKU. This feature helps your practice accurately maintain patients' historical immunization records.

When adding a historical immunization record, mark the immunization as Discontinued to prevent the system from creating Patient Reminders for the immunization.
To mark an immunization as Discontinued:
Go to Patient Chart > Immunizations and select the immunization you want to edit.
Set the Discontinued? field to Yes.
Select Update.
When an immunization is discontinued:
The immunization displays with a “Discontinued” label in Patient Chart > Immunizations.
Vetspire will not send patient reminders for the immunization. Any outstanding Patient Reminders for the vaccine are removed from the right panel in Patient Chart.
