Encounter Footer

The following sections are available:

General: The first section block of the footer displays General information regarding this encounter. Some of this information will autofill based on the information provided at appointment creation.

Consent Forms: The Consent Forms section shows the number of consents completed for this encounter and if the consent is signed with the date of signature. Email, text, print, and for those who have the ability for electronic signature, have the client sign the consent from this section.

Estimates: From the encounter footer, you can also create estimates.

Invoice: View an invoice, finalize, or collect payment for this encounter.

Share: The next section is the Share section providing several email options based on who and what you need to send. See rDVM Communication for more information.

  • Custom Options allow the user to customize what sections of the chart to send. By default, all parts of the chart are included; however, click the x next to each section to remove what is not needed. Attachments function similarly to allow the removal of any section required.

  • To only send discharge information to the client or other recipients, select Discharge from the top of the Share window. Change the body of the message and, if need be, add vital sections of the encounter to send with the discharge instructions. The drop-down for both Included Sections and Attachments shows areas of the encounter to include.

  • Select the Referral Letter from the Share window to send a referral to the desired recipient.

  • Once customized, preview before sending, or select Email to send. Confirmation of a sent communication is placed in the patient’s medical chart under the word Share.

Sign: Select to Sign the encounter once all medical documentation has been completed.
