Troubleshooting Lab Results in Wrong Patient Profile

When lab results populate in the incorrect patient profile:

  1. Review the lab order details and confirm if the lab results were manually uploaded or automatically sent through a lab integration.

  2. Locate the correct patient’s chart and confirm that the same lab results are not in their medical record.

  3. If the lab result was manually uploaded: Upload the lab results to the correct patient’s chart, then delete the lab results from the incorrect patient’s chart.

  4. If the lab result was automatically added through integration: Correct the patient’s information in your practice’s account on the lab’s website, then contact the lab and ask them to queue the results to send to Vetspire. Once you have received the results in Vetspire, you can delete the results from the incorrect patient’s chart.

If this issue occurs repeatedly, verify that your lab integration is configured correctly in More > Admin > Integrations > Labs.

If this issue occurs with the same patients, verify that the patient does not have duplicate profiles.

The Lab > Lab Result > Delete permission must be enabled for your assigned user role to be able to delete lab results from Patient Chart.
